Charleston South Carolina Monthly Land Market Update ~ Vacant Land SOLD July 2018
The Local Charleston, South Carolina Land Market Update is a monthly report of area land
listings and sales for land buyers and sellers that are currently in the real estate market or
are thinking about getting into the market. Since Charleston contains multiple zip codes this
analysis may or may not be specific to your area and should only be used as a tool to determine
trend lines and a look at the Charleston areas:
Adams Run Hanahan Ladson Rockville Ridgeville
Awendaw Harleyville Lincolnville Santee Folly Beach
Bonneau Holly Hill McClellanville Seabrook Island Kiawah Island
Charleston Hollywood Meggett Sullivan’s Island Goose Creek
Cottageville Huger Moncks Corner St. George
Daniel Island Isle of Palms Mt. Pleasant St, Stephens
Dorchester Jedburg N. Charleston Summerville
Edisto Island Jamestown Ravenel Walterboro
The following is a review of land activity in Charleston during July 2018
- 2,282 – Actual number of land parcels listed for sale.
- 131 – Actual number of land parcels SOLD.
- $5,000 – Lowest Priced Sale: (.68 acre in Walterboro – 20% of listed price)
- $1,190,000 – Highest Priced Sale. (.64 acre in Daniel Island -98% of listed price)
The Charleston area land market is a challenge. With roughly 5% of available land being sold each month, Buyers have
more inventory to choose from, which can result in it taking months (sometimes years) for land to sell.
Because, historically, vacant land takes much longer to sell than a house because there is a smaller market for land buyers.
(and financing is much more difficult!) .
If you are thinking about selling your vacant land and would like a simple and fast solution without expensive fees and
